The Dizziness Physio will do everything possible to make your experience a positive one. Below are some things that you can do to help.

Please provide all appropriate medical information including history of stroke, brain injury, heart conditions, cancer, falls history, previous vestibular diagnosis and any other relevant medical information.
See your doctor if you are unsure.
Some conditions that cause dizziness symptoms require medical management. Please speak to your doctor prior to your visit if you have any of the conditions above or any of the symptoms below:
persistent double vision or severe vision changes
loss of consciousness or fainting
chest, arm or facial pain or numbness
severe headache
slurred speech or facial droop
problems with swallowing
incoordination of your limbs eg. inability to steadily grasp or manipulate a cup of tea
weakness or numbness in your arms, legs or one side of your body
major cognitive or concentration problems
Please Bring your referral, Scans and test results.
You do not need a referral to see The Dizziness Physio, but talking to your doctor can be a good start. If you have been referred by your doctor or specialist please bring the referral papers. If you have had any investigative scans or vestibular function testing please bring your results.
consider getting a partner or friend to drive you to your appointment.
Treatment can sometimes cause symptoms that can hang around for an hour or so after treatment. Most people are normally fine after the visit, but it is always safer to have someone drive you to your appointment if you are prone to severe symptoms.
